The book about St. Faustina that I have worked on illustrating last year, Diary of a Future Saint, is finally out and published.  The author of the book, Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle is a truly amazing and talented writer who has been on EWTN for years and has written a good number of Catholic books for all ages.  She found me on social media and luckily, she enjoyed my illustration style enough to have me illustrate this book.  Through this project, I have a newfound devotion to St. Faustina.  Moreover, the book was featured on EWTN recently.  In the clip on the right, Donna-Marie mentions me.   For the full episode featuring the book, here is the link to watch it, https://ondemand.ewtn.com/free/Home/Play/en/BOO03285

My Divine Mercy piece is displayed at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, San Francisco for Divine Mercy Sunday (April 16th) and is going to remained displayed in the church until the end of Easter.  I am happy to say that St. Dominic’s is now its new permanent home, and the work will be moved to another part of the church soon.

Two of my paintings got accepted to the Canto Cutie art magazine, which is publication that displays work from artists of the Cantonese diaspora.  In this year’s Volume VI, the theme is “spirituality,” which is perfect because not only I am of Cantonese descent (from my mother), but I am very proud of my Catholic identity and how that spiritually merges with my art practice.

The Catholic artist ministry that I run, Fra Angelico Society, holds our “God’s TIme” art show.  It was great to curate another art show.  It felt so rewarding that despite the harsh weather, the show was always full and half of the artworks were sold.

The San Francisco Archdiocese held the 50th anniversary of the new St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral building.  I was part of the volunteer committee organizing the event and was responsible for curating the “The Next 50 Years” art exhibition to promote the works of local young adult Catholic artists.  The reception was very rewarding, for I was then just enjoying the fruits of our hard work.  The art exhibition was a success and it was wonderful to talk more extensively to Archbishop Cordileone.
